After years of abuse by his aunt and uncle, orphaned middle schooler Mirai Kakehashi tries to end his life — only to be saved mid-fall by the angel Nasse, who selects him as a God candidate. Nasse grants him wings, a red arrow that forces targets to love him for thirty-three days, and a white arrow that kills on contact. Mirai must survive a contest against twelve other candidates, including the masked serial killer Metropoliman, to determine who will become the next God.
