Ichika Orimura returns to IS Academy as the world's only male Infinite Stratos pilot, still caught between the affections of Houki Shinonono, Cecilia Alcott, Charlotte Dunois, Laura Bodewig, and Lingyin Huang. Student council president Tatenashi Sarashiki moves in as his new roommate and self-appointed combat mentor, while Phantom Task — a rogue organization fielding stolen IS units — escalates raids on the Academy. A mysterious pilot calling herself Madoka Orimura surfaces among the attackers. Season 2 continues directly from the first.
