The Secret World of Arrietty

Arrietty, a fourteen-year-old Borrower, lives with her parents Pod and Homily beneath the floorboards of an old country house, surviving by taking small items from the human household above. When Shō, a boy recovering from a heart condition, moves in and spots her during a nighttime borrowing run, the encounter threatens the secrecy that has kept her family safe. As Arrietty and Shō form a cautious friendship, the family housekeeper Haru grows suspicious and sets out to expose the tiny residents.
