Makoto Naegi faces a tribunal at Future Foundation headquarters for sheltering the Remnants of Despair, but before a verdict lands, a new Monokuma seals the building and forces everyone inside into a final killing game. Each participant carries a secret forbidden action that kills them the moment they break it, and Makoto's ban on running through hallways leaves him nearly defenseless. This anime-original arc follows the events of Danganronpa 2 and closes out the Hope's Peak saga.
