Itsuki Hashima, a young light-novel author obsessed with writing the perfect little-sister character, lives surrounded by fellow creators and industry insiders: Nayuta Kani, a genius novelist who openly pursues him; Miyako Shirakawa, a levelheaded college classmate who advises him on fashion; and Haruto Fuwa, a rival author who debuted alongside him.
