Arc wakes up inside the fantasy game he was playing, trapped in his overpowered avatar — full plate armor on the outside, nothing but bones underneath. To avoid being hunted as a monster, he takes up mercenary work and keeps his helmet on. When he crosses paths with elf warrior Ariane, who is rescuing captive elves from human slave traders, her mission gives his idle power a purpose, and their spirit-fox companion Ponta joins the pair.
