Synopsis
Ikta Solork, a lazy seventeen-year-old who despises war, is forced to take the Katvarna Empire's High Grade Military Officer Exam alongside his childhood friend Yatorishino Igsem, a swordswoman from one of the Empire's most prestigious military families. After a shipwreck during the journey throws them into enemy territory with fellow cadets and an imperial princess, Ikta's tactical instincts surface despite himself. His reluctant rise through the ranks begins as the Empire's long war with the Republic of Kioka intensifies.
