Synopsis
Chika Kudou, a delinquent haunted by his late grandfather's legacy as a master koto maker, joins Tokise High School's nearly defunct koto club to honor him. Club president Takezou Kurata, the sole remaining member, reluctantly accepts Chika along with koto prodigy Satowa Houzuki and three of Chika's boisterous friends. Together the mismatched group works toward the national koto competition, learning to read one another's playing as they rebuild a club that was days from being dissolved.
