Theo Cornaro, a wandering knight carrying a Crest that lets him banish Chaos, rescues the mage Siluca Meletes during the fallout of the Great Hall Tragedy — a peace ceremony where a Demon Lord materialized and killed the archdukes of both warring factions. Impressed by his goal of liberating his homeland, Siluca enters a magical contract with Theo, and the two set out to unite fractured lords across the continent of Atlatan against the spreading Chaos.
