Dante runs Devil May Cry, a one-man demon-hunting shop permanently buried in debt, taking the odd jobs his broker Morrison brings in between slices of pizza and games of pool. A routine case puts him in charge of a young orphan named Patty Lowell, who promptly moves into his life and starts redecorating the office over his objections. Trish and Lady pass through with hunts and debts of their own, and every payday disappears before Dante can touch it.
