Shelter

Rin, a seventeen-year-old girl, lives alone in a virtual simulation where she can reshape the landscape, drawing meadows, cliffs and oceans on a tablet. Each day she creates a new world, but fragments of memory surface: her father Shigeru, their house, the catastrophe he built the simulation to protect her from. This six-minute animated short, made for Porter Robinson and Madeon's single, tells its story almost entirely without dialogue.
