Gin, a middle-aged alcoholic, Hana, a former drag queen, and Miyuki, a teenage runaway — three homeless people living on the streets of Tokyo — find an abandoned newborn in the trash on Christmas Eve. They name the baby Kiyoko and set out across the city to find her parents, a search that pulls each of them back toward the families and pasts they left behind.
