Takeru Ohyama enrolls at Tenbi Academy, a school where students wield magical weapons called Maken in combat duels, expecting nothing more than a co-ed paradise. Instead he reunites with childhood friend Haruko Amaya, meets Inaho Kushiya — a girl who insists she is his fiancée — and clashes with the hostile Kodama Himegami. When no standard Maken proves compatible with Takeru, he is left scrambling to prove himself on a campus where power determines standing.
