Nice and Murasaki run a low-rent detective agency called Hamatora out of Café Nowhere in Yokohama, taking odd jobs from anyone who walks in. Both are Minimum Holders — people born with supernatural abilities triggered under specific conditions — and their friend Art, a police officer, pulls them into a serial murder case targeting other Holders. The killer, a former professor named Moral, is harvesting brains to manufacture artificial Minimum abilities, and his interest in Nice runs deeper than a random case file.
