Somali and the Forest Spirit

Somali, one of the last humans alive, wanders a world ruled by spirits, demons, and goblins under the watch of Golem — a centuries-old forest guardian whose body is slowly breaking down. Golem poses as her father while searching for surviving humans who might take her in once he is gone. Their journey leads through hostile lands, where encounters with the imp doctor Shizuno and his candy-making assistant Yabashira offer brief refuge as Golem hides both Somali's true nature and his own approaching end.
