Synopsis
Asuna Yuuki logs into the virtual-reality game Sword Art Online on its launch day, only to discover alongside ten thousand other players that creator Kayaba Akihiko has removed the logout button — dying in the game means dying for real. One month in, with two thousand players already dead, Asuna teams up with solo swordsman Kirito and her schoolmate Mito to challenge the first-floor boss of the floating castle Aincrad. This film retells the opening arc of Sword Art Online from Asuna's perspective.
