Synopsis
Eijun Sawamura, a hot-headed pitcher from rural Akagi Middle School with an unorthodox sidearm delivery, is scouted out of his old crew of friends by Seido High School in Tokyo. He arrives at one of the country's strongest baseball programs to find catcher Kazuya Miyuki already running the bullpen and an upperclassman ace, Tetsuya Yuuki, captaining the team toward what may be his last shot at the summer Koshien tournament. Sawamura has to fight for innings against teammates who have spent their lives on this kind of mound.
