Kouta Oyamada, a sheltered country boy, starts his first year at Kunpou High in the city. On day one he is cornered by upperclassman Chizuru Minamoto, who reveals herself as a centuries-old kitsune and immediately begins chasing him with no concern for who is watching. When the wolf spirit Nozomu Ezomori transfers in soon after and stakes her own claim, Kouta finds himself trapped between two supernatural rivals whose competition for his attention plays out as openly in the classroom as anywhere else.
