Synopsis
Sakamichi Onoda enters Sohoku High School hoping to revive the disbanded anime club and finds out it needs four new members before it can run again. Without realizing it, the trips he has been taking to Akihabara on his mamachari city bike have built him into a serious climber, and when classmate Shunsuke Imaizumi catches him pedaling up the back-gate hill he is dragged into a race. After a chance friendship with the loud Osaka transfer Shoukichi Naruko, Onoda is pulled into the Sohoku cycling team and toward his first real road races.
