Myne takes her vows at the temple as an apprentice blue shrine maiden, the one path that lets a commoner trade her unusually large mana supply for treatment of the Devouring and a key to the temple library. The exacting High Priest Ferdinand takes charge of her, and the orphanage director's chambers become her quarters. She finds the orphans there starving while the High Bishop looks away. This second season picks up directly from the first, splitting Myne's days between a poor merchant's home and a noble-ranked post at the temple.
