Red leaves Pallet Town with a starter from Professor Oak and his rival Blue at his heels, set on filling the Pokédex with every species in Kanto. Across four self-contained episodes he takes on Gym Leader Brock, climbs the haunted tower of Lavender Town and crosses paths with Giovanni. This 2013 special retells the original Kanto games instead of continuing the long-running Pokémon TV series.
