Mash Burnedead was born without a trace of magic in a world where the star on one's forehead marks their social rank. He has lived in hiding with his adoptive father Regro in the forest, building his body to compensate. A magic bureau official finds them and delivers an ultimatum: enroll at Easton Magic Academy and earn the title of Divine Visionary, or Regro pays with his life. Mash enrolls with no spells and one plan: hit whatever gets in his way hard enough to move it.
