In 1920s New York, the Order of Magdalene dispatches its agents to fight the demons appearing across America. Sister Rosette Christopher works for the Order alongside Chrono, a hornless demon bound to her by a contract that shortens her life each time she draws on his power. Rosette uses the Order's missions to search for her younger brother Joshua, abducted years earlier by the demon Aion, whose past is tied to Chrono.
