Amu Hinamori is a grade-schooler known to classmates as 'cool and spicy,' a front that hides her shy nature, until one morning she wakes to find three colorful eggs that hatch into Guardian Characters named Ran, Miki, and Su. They help her draw out the selves she wishes she could be, and the school's Guardians recruit her as the Joker to chase down X Eggs, corrupted versions of people's dreams sought by the Easter company hunting a wish-granting egg called the Embryo.
