The Forger family's three secrets hold through a second year: Loid works as psychiatrist Loid Forger while running Operation Strix, Yor conceals her contract killing as the Thorn Princess, and their daughter Anya, a telepath, keeps both secrets at Eden Academy. The season's central arc pulls Yor away on a solo job: protecting mob widow Olka Gretcher and her infant son aboard the luxury liner Princess Lorelei while a shipful of hired killers closes in. A giveaway ticket lands Loid and Anya on the same vessel, unaware how close Yor's two worlds are to colliding.
