Retsuko is a twenty-five-year-old red panda working in the accounting department of a Tokyo trading firm, where her boss Director Ton and pushy colleagues pile thankless work on her. She swallows her frustration through the workday, then unloads it after hours at a karaoke booth, screaming death metal alone. As coworkers like Fenneko and Haida drift into her orbit, Retsuko juggles office politics, dating pressure, and the gap between the polite face she wears and the rage she sings out.
