Elite heir Kou Ichinomiya, raised never to owe anyone a debt, still lives under the Arakawa bridge after Nino, a girl who claims to be a Venusian, saved his life and asked only that he love her in return. This second season returns to the riverbank's commune of eccentrics, among them Sister, an ex-soldier who dresses as a nun, the kappa-costumed village Chief, and the star-masked Hoshi. Kou keeps trying to repay Nino while adjusting to a life nothing like his old one.
