Ichigo Momomiya is on a date with her crush Masaya Aoyama when a strange light fuses her with the DNA of the endangered Iriomote cat, letting her transform into the cat-girl Mew Ichigo. Ryou Shirogane and Keiichiro Akasaka recruit her to lead the Mew Mews, a team rounded out by Minto, Retasu, Bu-Ling, and Zakuro, against aliens who want Earth back. Their task is to hunt the Chimera Animas, parasites that turn ordinary animals into monsters.
