Eiichiro Maruo is a meticulous honor student famous for his flawless notes, which is how the cheerful Natsu Takasaki first approaches him. Deciding he needs regular exercise, he ends up at the Southern Tennis Club, where Natsu trains hard toward going pro. Eiichiro brings the same obsessive note-taking and analysis to the court, breaking the game down into details no one else bothers to track, and resolves to chase tennis seriously himself.
