In a future where war has been outsourced to colossal fortress-weapons called Objects, two soldiers of the Legitimacy Kingdom upend the rules. Qwenthur Barbotage, a student mechanic obsessed with Object engineering, and his blunt frontline partner Havia Winchell improvise a way to bring down an enemy Object on foot, something everyone believed impossible. After they rescue Milinda Brantini, the pilot of their own Object "Baby Magnum," the trio keeps getting thrown at battlefields where giant machines were supposed to make foot soldiers obsolete.
