In feudal Japan, the wandering mercenary swordsman Jubei Kibagami is blackmailed by the government spy Dakuan into hunting the Eight Devils of Kimon, a band of ninja with supernatural powers plotting against the Tokugawa shogunate. Dakuan poisons Jubei and dangles the antidote to force his cooperation. Alongside Kagero, a kunoichi whose body carries lethal toxins, Jubei sets out against the Devils and their leader Gemma, a swordsman from his own past. This is the 1993 feature film by Yoshiaki Kawajiri.
