Kaoruko Moeta, a high-school freshman who draws yonkoma manga under the pen name Kaos, lands at the bottom of a reader survey and is sent by her editor to a dormitory for manga artists. She rooms with shoujo artist Koyume Koizuka, teen-romance artist Ruki Irokawa, and shounen artist Tsubasa Katsuki. Between deadlines and reader rankings, the four push each other to draw better as Kaoruko tries to crawl out of last place.
