Looking back on his high-school years in the coastal city of Kochi, Taku Morisaki recalls Rikako Muto, a sharp Tokyo transfer student who unsettled the friendship he shared with class president Yutaka Matsuno. When Rikako talks Taku into helping her travel back to Tokyo to see her father, he gets pulled into her plans and into the quiet rivalry building between the three of them. Studio Ghibli made it as a television film rather than a theatrical release.
