Yu Nagami is a high schooler who keeps failing to break into light novels, until he discovers that the brother-sister romance that just won a major contest was written by his younger sister Suzuka. A model student and student council president, Suzuka knows nothing about otaku tastes and asks Yu to front her work under the pen name Chikai Towano. Yu takes the public role and steps into the publishing world to protect the name for his sister's sake.
