Hinomaru Ushio enters Oodachi High set on becoming a yokozuna, sumo's highest rank, even though he stands below the height the professional association requires. He joins the school's sumo club, where third-year Shinya Ozeki is the only devoted member, and finds the dojo overrun by delinquents. Hinomaru challenges their leader, Yuma Gojo, and floors him in a single shove — beginning his push to rebuild the club and prove himself against high school's strongest wrestlers.
