Synopsis
Kakeru Daichi buys a can of melon soda and his first sip turns into his first kiss when the can transforms into a girl he names Melon. She is an Akikan, one of several empty cans brought to life under a secret government program that pits aluminum cans against steel cans to settle which material is superior. Kakeru refuses to let Melon fight, but rival Akikan like the grape-soda Budoko and the sports-drink Yell keep forcing the issue.
