Makoto Majima minds his mother's fruit stand by day and works as Ikebukuro's go-to troubleshooter the rest of the time, settling disputes among the district's gangs, yakuza, and ordinary residents when the police can't or won't. His old high-school friend Takashi, who leads the street gang G-Boys as its 'King,' often brings him the messiest jobs. The anime adapts Ira Ishida's novel series.
