Buntaro Hojo drifts through high school writing scripts for the drama club until his quiet classmate Sayuki Kuroda recruits him to write the scenario for a bishoujo game she wants to make. Convinced he has real talent, Sayuki sets out to build a full development team, drawing in programmer Teruha Ando, illustrator Yuki Uguisu, aspiring voice actress Yuka Kobayakawa and others. The group learns game-making from scratch while juggling deadlines and their own inexperience.
