Twenty-year-old Nobue Ito spends her days around four grade-schoolers: her little sister Chika, the prank-prone Miu, the timid Matsuri, and Ana Coppola, an England-born girl who has forgotten her English but obsesses over Japanese culture. Their afternoons fill with small everyday business, playing outside, scheming over snacks, and needling one another, while Nobue tries to scrape together cash for cigarettes. A quiet slice-of-life built on the rhythms of the girls' ordinary days.
