Bardock, a low-class Saiyan soldier and Goku's father, is clearing the planet Kanassa for Frieza's forces when a dying Kanassan hands him the power to see the future. The visions show him the end of the Saiyan race, and no one on Planet Vegeta will believe the warning. Set years before Dragon Ball begins, this TV special follows Bardock as he sends his infant son Kakarot away to Earth and turns on Frieza alone.
