Three months after his first summer in Flonyard, Cinque Izumi keeps his promise and returns to the dog-eared world, this time bringing his childhood friend Rebecca Anderson and his cousin Nanami Takatsuki. Cinque again champions the Biscotti Republic, but the two newcomers are claimed by rival nations: Nanami joins the Galette Lion Dominion, while Princess Couvert scouts Rebecca for the newly arrived Principality of Pastillage. This second season opens with all three settling into their adopted countries.
