The Summer Hikaru Died

Yoshiki Tsujinaka knows something is wrong with his childhood friend Hikaru Indo—the boy who came back from the mountain one summer isn't quite human anymore. An eldritch entity wearing Hikaru's face retains all his memories and feelings, yet Yoshiki can sense the difference. Rather than flee, he chooses to stay close to the thing pretending to be his friend, even as strange deaths and unexplained phenomena begin spreading through their rural village.
