Tatsuya Yoigoshi, a former junior-high soccer ace who soured on team sports, gets recruited into his high school's kabaddi club after dismissing the game as pointless. Watching a practice match that plays out like close-quarters martial arts changes his mind, and his speed quickly draws the attention of captain Masato Ohjo and sharp-eyed vice-captain Kei Iura. Built around an unfamiliar contact sport, the club pushes Tatsuya to test his athletic gifts against opponents who treat kabaddi as full-contact combat.
