Akira Okudaira starts high school at Fujigaya Girls' Academy and reunites with Fumi Manjoume, her childhood best friend, after ten years apart. At nearby Matsuoka Girls' High School, the shy, tearful Fumi grows close to a tall third-year, Yasuko Sugimoto, and begins working out her own feelings while leaning on Akira's steady company. The two friends pick up their bond again across the two schools' literature and theater circles.
