Kana Koumoto is a seventeen-year-old high schooler who passes ordinary days in the city of Tsuganei with her friends Mossan, Hijiri and Pets. Their routine breaks when a mecha drops out of the sky alongside Haruko Haruhara, a guitar-swinging woman whose plans for Kana run through the power called Atomsk, just as Medical Mechanica begins its assault on Earth. This entry in the FLCL franchise stands on its own, centering on Kana's group rather than the original cast.
