Naozumi Tsuchida, the only male teacher at Hanamaru Kindergarten, looks after the rowdy first-year Sakura Class while quietly hoping to date fellow teacher Nanako Yamamoto. One of his pupils, the precocious Anzu, declares she will marry him when she grows up and keeps trying to win him over alongside shy Koume and the eccentric Hiiragi. Short, low-stakes episodes follow the children's antics and Tsuchida's stumbles through his first year on the job.
