Kahoko Hino, an ordinary general-studies student at the music-focused Seiso Academy, stumbles onto Lili, a small fairy who hands her an enchanted violin and a spot in the school's prestigious intramural concours. The instrument lets her play any piece she can hear so long as she plays from the heart. Surrounded by far more accomplished classmates in the competition, she grows close to the people she is meant to be rivals with.
