Hiroki and Tsukasa are 'pets', people who can slip into others' minds to read and rewrite memories, a power so destabilizing it can shatter the user's own psyche. The two stay sane only through the bond between them, which the underground organization known as the Company exploits by sending them on jobs of cover-up and assassination alongside fellow operatives Satoru and Hayashi. As the Company tightens its grip, the fragile trust holding the pets together begins to fray.
