Synopsis
This feature film is a prequel to the Free! swimming series, set during Haruka Nanase and Makoto Tachibana's first year at Iwatobi Middle School. The two join the swim club and form a medley relay team with newcomers Asahi Shiina and Ikuya Kirishima, but each boy swims for different reasons and the relay keeps falling apart. Adapting the High Speed! light novels, the film traces how the four learn to swim as one team.
