Sasshi Imamiya and Arumi Asahina are childhood friends growing up in the Abenobashi shopping arcade of Osaka, where Sasshi's family bathhouse is slated for demolition and Arumi's family is about to move away to Hokkaido. When Arumi's grandfather falls while chasing a cat and shatters the last of the arcade's guardian statues, the two are flung into a sword-and-sorcery version of Abenobashi. Other worlds follow, from sci-fi to war to dating-sim, each remade from Sasshi's obsessions and stocked with funhouse copies of the people they know. A blue-haired stranger named Eutus turns up at every stop.
